Wow, being a mom of two can be time-consuming. It seems that the time I have to myself has really diminished and you can't get much done with one hand-baby is in the other. Last night I attempted to make chocolate chip cookies with one hand. I mixed everything and that was successful but then they were ruined as I was putting Henry down to bed and forgot about them...burned cookies. It was an old cookie sheet so I just threw the whole thing in the garbage-better than having to clean the pan. I am learning to just make due with some things. Dinner for London will not always be on time and she may not always get a bath. Instead of fighting with a two year old. I just say-OK, you don't want to wear pants, thats fine, or you want to eat dinner standing, thats fine. Easier than fighting sometimes. I will say that I have been enjoying this stay at home mom thing (for now). No make-up and work out clothes everyday. This house is up by 5:30-6:00 so we usually head to starbucks in the double stroller ( I bribe London with a muffin to get her to sit in the stroller) People are on there way to work and just look at us like, why are you up at these hours. I laugh and think, they just don't have kids. We go to classes in the morning with London. Ballet, gym, music. We try and get a nap in the afternoon if both kids decide to go down at the same time. It has been working so far because Henry likes to sleep most of the day. I am hoping that will change and he will sleep more at night. He usually goes to bed at 9:30-10:00, wakes a few times to feed and is up by 5:30. We have managed to go out to dinner and breakfast with the two of them and a little road trip to OC last week. All in all, it has not been too bad.
